EGYPTIAN PHARAOH PTOLEMY, 1900ish, Plated Brass On Bakelite BUTTON, Large

Vintage antique clothing button was probably produced in the early 1900s. The large button features a Bakelite backing -- which has an embossed metal OME piece affixed to the front. This metal piece -- it looks like plated brass -- is in the shape of an Egyptian head. My mom has it marked as being PHARAOH PTOLEMY. It has a metal loop shank embedded in the back. Please refer to the ruler pictured in the image for the exact button size. Overall condition: Soli...d VG+..... The button may have tarnished a bit with age, or have light surface wear -- but there are no cracks, chips, or other more serious flaws. It is in very nice shape and it will display beautifully. My mom -- Nancy Moran -- was a longtime member of the National Button Society, plus was active in several local button clubs in New York. She is downsizing, so I am helping her sell some of her collection. But I am not familiar with all the terminology and intricacies of button collecting.
