You are viewing a terrific early photograph in a studio card from the early 20th century. It features a photo studio shot of a traveling salesman with his case in the front and his bedroll on his back. It comes from the estate of the Hyman Zeitz family who owned Martin’s Department stores from the late 1800s to the early 70s throughout Brooklyn and long island and part of the Unity Club of Brooklyn, a philanthropic Jewish fraternity. The photo measures about 8”x10”. Judging by th...e clothing and Art Deco design of the card, I believe it’s from early to mid 1920s.
