Just 15 hours before the launch of Apollo 11, this is the 24-page program handed out to attendees of the Manned Flight Awareness Reception at the Cape Kennedy Hilton in Cape Canaveral, Florida, featuring a "Who's Who" of NASA's top leadership.  AND it says "A copy of this document will be carried to the Moon and left there.  A copy will also be placed in the National Archives and the Library of Congress." Those having cocktails at 6 pm, Tuesday, July 15 in the South Ballroom ...included special guests: NASA Administrator Thomas O. Paine and his lead team of George Mueller, Wernher von Braun, Lt. Gen. Samuel Phillips, astronaut Wally Schirra and Jon Lindbergh, son of "Lucky Lindy."  This was THE event to attend before the Wedneday, July 16 9:32 am launch of Apollo 11. The contents include a thumbnail sketch of the previous Apollo manned missions and honorees in attendance from the Marshall Spaceflight Center in Huntsville, Alabama;  Kennedy Space Center, Florida; and Manned Space Flight Center in Houston, Texas. The program is bound in a colorful cover showing two astronauts on the Moon in front of the American Flag and the Apollo 11 mission emblem.  A super item for that Apollo 11 collector!
