Stunning hand painted floral Lithopane demitasse teacup, made in Japan by Kutani Ware in the 1940's.
The Japanese porcelain tea cup is a translucent, egg shell china. When you hold the cup up to the light, you can see the cameo/face of a beautiful Geisha Girl.
This delicate, pretty teacup measures 2 3/4" diameter at the largest part of the cup. It stands 2" tall.
The demitasse Lithopane teacup is in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks, no crazing. Bright and beautiful hand painted flowers with raised paint and heavy encrusted paint.
This is an amazing teacup to add to your addition of teacups or to add to an existing set of Japan Kutani porcelain.
