For sale is this antique Atha 8lb. sledge hammer head. Signed "Atha" with the famous "A" within the horseshoe logo and  "8", it measures 6-1/8" long with  2-3/16" octagonal faces, with a 1" X 1-3/8" oval eye. {remnants of the old handle remain as pictured} It is in excellent overall condition as pictured, with a indentation or ship in the center of one face, as shown in 8th and 9th pictures. Atha stopped manufacturing under this name in 1914, making this hammer over 100 years... old.
