Solid brass door bell,
VINTAGE STYLE.
(I am not going to claim that this is Victorian, 1920's, gothic etc, as others have done).
It is however more than 20 years old as we have owned it at least that long.
It is of the pull chain type.
Lots of detail. Words in Latin. Pictures of lion, angel, pelican, scrolls, rose etc
Backplate measures 7x3 inches.
Bell measures approximately 5x3 inches.
Pull chain approximately 14 inches.
Bell removed for posting.... Easily put back together.
The casting is of a reasonable finish, unlike the ones I have seen on here, possibly made yesterday, claiming to be very old and asking twice the price.
Sorry to go on but bit of a shock to me some of the claims sellers are making.
I remember a market stall in the 1980's selling loads of brass, all reproduction. I believe that is what most I have seen is.
