This is a W. Butcher No 9 Sweep Gouge 1/2 inch Wood ChiselThis nice W. Butcher No 9 Sweep Gouge Wood Chisel measures 5/16 inch in width and 9-1/2 inches in length. It is in excellent condition as the pictures show. The hardwood handle has nice cherry lacquer finish. The blade is clean steel and it has a shiny sharp edge ready to put to work. Butcher chisels rate Rockwell Hardness Rc 61-63 Excellent Temper to really hold an edge even on hardwoods.No Reserve.
