Original Description:
Here is a cool old antique Civil War era lock from an old estate. I purchased it at a sale about a mile and a half from Wilson's Creek Battlefield near Springfield Missouri. Not sure if it works or not, but the part that protrudes from the side does not depress into the housing. I wire brushed it off and squirted it with WD40. Very cool piece. I have sold off most of my collection of Civil War era stuff other than a few pistols and a musket and some mini balls, so I really have no reas...on to keep it. I would guess it does not work, but it does have access screws on it to get inside of it to restore the inside if desired. I love how ornate it is. It measures 4.25 inches long by 3.25 inches wide and just shy of an inch thick. Please ask all questions prior to bidding.
