This is the ancient Testors/Hawk kit, built in flying mode. Quite a bit of scratch-building has gone into it to bring it up to an okay looking shelf-sitter, but it definately couldn't win awards. The cockpit was void of detail, so I spruced up a seat from the spares box, and added a pilot. The pilot came out pretty good, but is barely visible. I worked the air intakes, and though still quite lacking, at least they're not showing a bunch of direct sunlight! I added small cone nozzels in... the wing exhausts. I drilled out the four cannon holes in the nose. Decals are from the kit and spares box and are researched enough to represent a possible VF-22 aircraft, though the serial number is from the kit, probably an early model Banshee. I gave it a semi-gloss coat, and did only slight weathering on the gun nose and around the wing walkways. The main cons are the undersized and non-detailed wing pylons, and the under-sized canopy from the kit. I'll provide the stand that it's on in the photos. Besides the pitot tube, it's a sturdy build and should ship just fine. NOT RECOMENDED AS A TOY. I'll pack it with home dunnage, but damage during shipping is possible.
