No reserve on thismint-in-box, Matchbox 1986-issue WWII PB4Y-2 Privateer Liberator Patrol bomber1/72-scale plastic model airplane kit. Matchbox kit #PK-606. Excellentattention to detail and quality on this older-vintage airplane kit. Molded in threedifferent colors plus clear and packed with lots of parts and very detailed. ThisPB4Y-2 Consolidated long range reconnaissance and patrol bomber has acharacteristic high wing and a tricycle landing gear B-24 platform but withsingle tail fin instead of twin tail. It was operational from late-WWIIand postwar into the 1960s. The plane canbe finished as any one of three aircraft with variable armament configurationsincluding glazed or ball turret nose, dorsal and tail turrets and waist gunbubbles. The contents are mint, unused, unpainted, unassembled and completewith the decal sheet and the instruction sheet. The colorful decal sheet lookssuper-sharp. Decals are for the US Navy in Philippines May 1945, RCAF Canada1948 and French Aero Navale based in Tunisia in 1958. Almost all of the manyparts are still on their sprues, as you can easily see in the photos. Thiskit had been sitting in a smoke-free and, generally, dust-free ModelAirplane/Military collection for many years and was only recently rediscovered. Thebig kit-box looks quite good with bright, vivid colors but does show some edgewear and there are some light scuffs and scratches visible on the box toppanel, as shown in the photos. There are no split corners on either of thebox-halves. There is some clear tape still affixed to the underside of theinner box-half. Again, the contents of this older-vintage PB4Y-2 bomber modelkit are mint, unused, unpainted, unassembled and complete, as very clearlynoted above and as shown in the many photos. Makes a very fun addition to anyAirplane, Military or Model Kit collection! Sold "as-is"; pleasecheck out all of the photos carefully!
