The return is 41 inchesdeep, an embroidered scalloped hem across the full width and running down eachside, with fantastic drawn thread work jours and lace effect emphasising thescallops. The monogram C.P. has also been hand embroidered. Snowy white, thissheet is over 100 years old. Part of a young lady’s trousseau, th...e workis so detailed and well executed it was probably done by nuns.
