The MB.152, the D.520 and the Potez 631 aircraft are finished in variations of the“standard" French fighter three-tone camouflage scheme of Gris Bleu Foncé, Brun Ombre Calcienne and Khaki-Vert uppers over Gris Bleu Clair lower surfaces.The Potez 63.11 is finished in Brun Terre de Sienne, Brun Ombre Calcienne andKhaki-Vert uppers over Gris Bleu Clair lower surfaces. The LeO 451 is finishedin Brun Terre de Sienne and Brun Ombre Calcienne uppers over Gris Bleu Clairlower surfaces. All theaircraft carried the Vilchy neutralitymarkings of horizontal Yellow and Red Vilchy IDbands on the engine nacelles, on the upper and lower stabilizer surfaces and onthe tail surfaces, bar the D.520 which had a Yellow tail surfaces, a Yellowrear fuselage and a Yellow spinner. The Potez 631 also had a Yellow nose.TheFrench, unlike the strict British or German practice of defining officialpatterns applicable to specific aircraft types, issued general rules referringto colours and appearance of WWII aircraft, leaving the camouflage patternentirely to factories, maintenance workshops and units in the field.Consequently, some kind of uniformity is apparent with certain types e.g. thePotez 63 series, but remains fairly random with others, e.g. D.520 or theCurtiss H75-C1.
