Antique New Jersey police officer's hat with its original strap, silvered hat badge, and state seal buttons. It has the original label on the inside of the hat for Lou's Uniforms 189 Broadway Long Branch, N. J. The New Jersey State hat badge has a cut out number 14 which would have been either the precinct or the officer's badge number. I purchased this 1960's, + or - a couple years, police officer's hat at an estate sale in Sea Girt N. J. The officer very well could have worked in the... town. I haven't cleaned it at all. It was sitting on top of a bookshelf at the sale and looks like it had been for many years. There is no moth damage. The pictures are accurate as to its condition. Please look at my other auctions.
