Here is a beautiful millinery treasure from the Edwardian era, circa 1910 - 1920. Genuine antique, French, an exotic Bird Of Paradise plumes bandeau or headdress. Rare paradise plumes in glossy dark black, swoop gently into fine ends that move with every breeze. The plumes are wrapped in a sheath ob black silk velvet with 2 sparkling dangling marcasite or cut steel beaded tassels. In the center is a large sterling silver, marcasite and eb...ony brooch. Gorgeous! The bandeau is a black silk velvet wide ribbon with 2 sets of hooks and eyes in back. The plumes are not attached to the ribbon. this could be worn in the hair or as a headband, or attach it to your grand Edwardian hat. Thank you for looking!
