I’ve gone for months now avoiding having to do this BUT...... Due to the nearly pandemic number of non-paying and late paying bidders, and the fact I’m spending as much time trying to to get auction winners to pay for what they purchased 4 and 5 days earlier it’s become necessary for me to put the following policy in place. So starting immediately payment is due within 48 hours. If payment is not received in that time a non-paying bidder case ...will automatically be opened with eBay. This may seem harsh to some but it is necessary because of the actions of the few. Few being as many as 11 at once at times. Bidders with 350+ positive feedbacks and customers with which I’ve had previous successful transactions are exempt from the requirements and I thank those customers very much. If you are bidding on multiple knives I can waive the 48 hour rule. Just let me know and hold payment until I can send you an invoice to save you on shipping.

Model No. 20 2- Blade Muskrat Folding Pocket Knife, a Trademark Used by BELKNAP Hardware Co., Located in Louisville, Kentucky, and Has Two Used & Sharpened Carbon Steel Muskrat Blades, Dark Brown Jigged Bovine Bone Scales with No Cracks, Splits or Missing Chips, Three Brass Handle Pins in Each Scale, Brightly Polished Nickel Silver SingleFlute Rounded Bolsters Polished Brass Liners, Two Steel Back Springs with No Breaks or Cracks, 4” in Length, Made for Sale in the Belknap Hardware Store Located in Louisville, Kentucky, with the Tang Stamping Indicating This Knife was Made Between c.1940-1968.
This is a vintage John Primble Belknap Hdw & Mfg, Co. Muskrat knife but it hasn’t been mistreated. The knife has two used and sharpened carbon steel Muskrat blades. Both blades have scratches from use and sharpening but other than that there’s just some very light staining and a few micro-pits. Stamped on the front tang of the front Muskrat blade is JOHN PRIMBLE (over) BELKNAP (over) HDW. & MFG. CO. This was one of the several trademarks used by Belknap Hardware and this one in particular was used between c.1940-1968. Stamped on the rear tang is the number 20 which was most likely the pattern number with a Star underneath it. A Star often indicated a knife was actually made by another knife maker under contract. Boker, Schrader, Camillus and Utica were all known to have made knives for them. Both blades still have very good to excellent open and close snap. The knife has a nice set of dark brown jigged bovine bone scales and they are free of any cracks, splits or missing chips. There’s a shallow easy open on the top of the rear scale for easier access to the nail pull of the rear blade. There are three polished brass handle pins in each scale. The knife has brightly polished nickel silver single fluted rounded bolsters. They’re free os any dents but they do have one tiny dings and some visible scratches. The liners are polished brass as well. The knife has two steel back springs both of which are free of any cracks or breaks. They both continue to perform the functions they were designed to perform. If you win multiple items and want me to ship them together don't pay right away. Wait for me to send you an invoice reflecting the reduced shipping cost. If you win a knife or knives on one day and are going to bid on knives within 5 days of the first purchase just let me know and I will gladly hold the invoice until you inform me or when the 5 days is completed. But be aware after 5 calendar days I will send you an invoice for any knives purchased up to that point. I may make exceptions for buyers with exceptionally high ratings and a high number of feedbacks. Be aware that more than three knives may go over the weight limit of 16 oz for 1st class and may require different packaging and shipping costs. I keep shipping costs to only the price charged by USPS.
