This glass shade is from my grandmother's house which was built around 1915. I believed it was originally used when they had a gas lamp in the hallway or maybe for the ceiling light. It is a frosted glass shade with a lovely rose tint at the bottom which tapers to a lighter tint at the top. The ornate design appears to be either art noveau or art deco or maybe a combo of both.There is a chip on the edge of the bottom that you can see in the last 2 photos. And there appear to be some m...anufacturing flaws, not sure if this is molded glass (but looks like it may be), I see a few tiny air bubbles that do not show up in the photos, and a smudge where some of the frosted etching may have worn off? - see photo # 9. These are minor flaws and for the age of the item, in overall good condition. It measures approx 5.5" across the top opening and 3.25" across the bottom opening and 4.75" tall.
