You are bidding on an Old W.A. Sheaffer Pen Company Fountain Pen. I am not positive what type of material this pen is made out off, but I would guess celluloid (???)... PLEASE NOTE: this pen has what I would describe as hairline cracks and/or scratches and/or crazing (most noticeably top part of cap). That being said, this pen still seems (in my opinion) to be solid and/or structurally sound ..... ALSO the cap seems somewhat stripped and it will not twist onto the barrel tightly.......... The cap of this pen has a white dot. The cap also has a gold tone band, and a gold tone carry loop on the flat top. This gold tone finish has/shows wear/loss..... The barrel of this pen reads W.A. Sheaffer Pen Company - Pat. Aug. 25, 08 Fort Madison IA USA - Dec.10.12 - Jan. 27 - Oct. 20 - Nov. 24.14..... The nib on this pen reads Sheaffer's Lifetime Reg U.S. Pat. Off. Made In USA 14K ......... PLEASE NOTE I know little to nothing about the workings of this type of pen and I am selling this pen As-Is "UNTESTED" As-Photographed (I am selling this pen in the same used as-is condition I found it in, so it might/should benefit from a good cleaning). Photographs are a major part of my description! PLEASE NOTE that the color of digital photos can sometimes varyfrom the actual color/finish of the item(s). This is typically due to lighting and/or different monitors, sobe aware the shade might be off (the photos will give you a basic idea of what the item(s)look like). The pictures you see are the actual photos (I just took) of the actual item(s) you will receive ...so please ZOOM and LOOK CLOSELY at each and every photo! After viewing each photo you should be able to FORM YOUR OWN OPINION as to its over-all condition. I have ALOT of Vintage Pens listed... I welcome you to view my other Auctions by clicking on this link>>> See other items <<< or by locating and clicking on "ebay's provided Seller's Other Items and/or See Other Items link/tab...Thank youfor looking and especially for bidding!
