Up for sale is a Vintage Japan Mamzor Tin Friction Space Car - Red w/ Opening Top. This is a great display piece. The vehicle is tin and was either a friction or remote battery operated vehicle. The back wheels a "locked up" and we didn't want to force them so we are not sure what it is. The paint is bright and nice but there are some strange paint issues at the back of the vehicle. It appears that it might have been partially painted/touched up ...(see last picture). We can see in a few places where it looks like paint strokes or excess paint but there is no break in the glossy shine across the paint surface. The picture shows the line of excess paint on the underside but the areas look like the gloss shine was done all at once. It almost looks like a factory painting issue but with brush strokes in the paint. It's something we have never seen before. With all of that said, you really need to look at it closely to pick up the paint difference. To us, it doesn't show much unless you're really looking for it. Most of the paint discrepancies are on the bottom of the vehicle. Overall, the red paint is nice. The black top has a few scratches in it. The chrome parts are good. The interior is nice and clean. The top opens and closes easily. The windshield is missing but doesn't take away from the look of the vehicle much. Great addition of a unique tin space car to anyones collection.
