I would estimate they date circa 1920s or 1930s, but please use your judgment.
They each measure approximately 11 inches tall x approximately 8 1/2 inches wide (28 cm, 21.6 cm).
They each have some issues.
The eagle on one of them is a solid brass color. The other one is a copperish color, but it looks like someone rubbed off some of the finish from the top of his left wing, and the brass... is showing through. There is also some blue tarnishing on him. Oddly enough, on that same sconce, the socket holder on only the right side is that same copperish color, as is the round mirror exterior and much of the rest of the sconce. I just don’t know what happened here.
They both have scattered tarnishing all about.
The sconce with the brass colored eagle has what I will call a reverse ding just below his left foot. It has the workings for a lamp, though one is loose. The other sconce has part of the inner workings on one side and even less on the other, in fact there is no chain.
On the back of the copperish sconce, the strip going across it was attached crookedly for some reason.
The mirrors each have scattered white spots of fogging, though you can still see yourself very clearly.
Please use the photos as your guide!
Together they weigh 2 pounds 13 1/2 ounces (1.288 kg).
