CARNIVAL SHOOTING GALLERY TARGETS, CHIPMUNKS/SQUIRRELS and BIRD. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. Two Antique Iron Shooting Gallery Targets ~ One is an assembly of 2 Chipmunks/Squirrels and a Bullseye, and the second target of a Bird(Turkey?). These targets were used in traveling carnivals before WW II and were shot with a rifle using 22 short caliber lead bullets. In those days, there were no safet...y regulations against using real 22 caliber bullets in carnivals. On the Chipmunks/Squirrels target, when the Chipmunks/Squirrels are hit, they fall backwards and remain in a fallen backward position until the center round target is hit, then a spring brings the Chipmunks/Squirrels straight to a standup again. Much of the red coloring on the front of the Chipmunks/Squirrels is missing because of the bullets hitting them. On the back of the target, there is a bracket for mounting. The second target shooting target is a turkey, grouse or unknown bird. Size is 3" tall by 4" wide, by 1.25"+ thick at the base and about 1" thick at the top of the bird's head. This item is very heavy solid iron and was painted white probably for better aiming. Shipping will be heavy as these two items weigh about 7 or more pounds prior to packing.
