This is a sweet vintage cardboard pencil box containing 4 advertising pencils, 1 regular pencil & a wheel eraser. None of the pencils have been sharpened & all of the erasers, including the wheel are hard. Two orange pencils read, " Reading Bone Fertilizer Co. , Reading, PA, High Grade Fertilizers, Reading Meat Meal", 1 dark orange pencil reads, "Snavely's Farm Service, Farm Equipment And Household Appliances, New Holland, PA, Phone 676". One orange pencil reads, "E...ugene A Knittle Refrigeration Service, Fleetwood R.D. No 2, Pa, ". The lime green pencil looks like an 80's Eagle brand replacement. The wheel eraser is an Eagle brand eraser. The box reads, "Duchess, Eagle Pencil Co., New York, U.S.A., No 019" inside the lid. It is cardboard with a paper farm illustration on the lid. A previous owner wrote their name in pencil on the bottom. Box measures 9.5" by 1-7/8". The box shows light wear & soil from storage & 2 corners of the lid are split. Nice old set!
