Here is an old cabinet photo of a beautiful young girl in a long white dress, with a necklace and long curly hair. she looks like she is standing in a field holding a flower, her other hand is holding the front of her dress, where she has other flowers laying in it. The backdrop looks like a photographer's studio backdrop. On the back she is identified as Ethel M. Estabrook born October 15 1889 Died December 22, 1892. This is written in pencil which is faded.&nb...sp; If she died shortly after her 3rd birthday, this photo must've been taken right before then, judging from how old she looks in the photo. The photographer was Estabrook of 1227 Penna Ave. Washington D. C. We wonder if the photographer was a relative of Ethel's, they have the same last name, so we did some research. We found a Charles B. Estabrook, photographer listed in the 1900 census of Washington, DC and also in several Washington DC city directories. His wife's name was Stella, and he is listed in census records as being born in Pennsylvania. We then found that Charles, his wife Stella and Ethel, the little girl in this photo are all buired in Tioga Point Cemetery in Athens, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. Charles B. Estabrook died in 1933, Stella died in 1915 and as is written on the back of the photo, little Ethel died in 1892. The photo measures 7 3/8 by 4 3/8 inches and is nice and clear with some wear from age, like bumped corners or a few marks. Great for anyone tracing the family history of the Estabrook family.
