Up for bidding is this True Antique Hand Painted Asian Design Lamp Shade with Beaded Fringe. Shade measured at the widest part on the bottom of the shade 22” long, top sculpted upper part measures 13 1/2” long, 11” deep . Each beaded fringe measures 5” long. I counted 151 hanging beaded fringe pieces , with 29 golden longer tube beads are damaged or broken, the other beads seem to be ok other than need cleaning . The shade is made of a thick material ? and hand painted with Asi...an like Sail boats on the water with birds. Subtle colors of green, orange , red, pink , gold , blue and black. It has a shimmer like substance that is wearing off quite a bit. The shade has some holes that someone has tried to repair but not very successfully and there are tears and rips here and there . Sculpted shade Form is solid but needs repair or can be used as it is now. I have not been able to find any info about it around my little coastal town other than the estate sale person said it came over on a boat in the 30’s. This auction is for the lamp shade only and the floor lamp will be a separate auction. Please feel free to enlarge the pictures so you can see the details better .
