1935 Silver Jubilee South West Africa Set, 4d On Reg. Air Mail Cover To Germany
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:34002513 | Colour: Silver |
Type: Cover |
This is an air mail cover to Germany. The set together pays the air mail rate of 1/- and the other stamps pay the 4d registration rate, so it is a correct rate cover. The stamps are cancelled OTJIWARONGO 6 May 1935, which was accession/jubilee day, but NOT FIRST DAY which was 1 May. On the reverse is a further strike, and an attractive SAALFELD receipt mark of 19 May. The cover has not been slit open.
I am selling other 1935 Silver Jubilee items. I will combine postage as... weight allows. If bidding on items finishing on different days please let me know to avoid any misunderstandings over invoicing. If buying from Europe please wait for an invoice or you could end up paying too much postage as the automatic rates do not allow for the slightly cheaper rates to Europe.
Postage is 76p to UK addresses, £1.68 to Europe and £2.42 to the rest of the world for standard services at the buyer's risk. I always obtain a certificate of posting and take a scan of the envelope before posting, so cannot consider any claims for non-delivery. I will use other services on request and at cost. For sendings over £50 I prefer to use secure services - special delivery to UK addresses at £6.70, and tracked/signed air mail to the rest of the world (£6.88 to Europe and £7.67 to the rest of the world) and will invoice accordingly.
