Vintage BUREN Grand Prix DIRTY DOZEN
WWW Military Issued WW2 Wrist Watch, c1945.
The black dial is in beautiful condition showing a railroad minute track, the arabic markers have aged to a rich dark creamy colour, it really pops and paired with those big sword hands!!! Its a really sharp look!
I've just recently seen a Buren sell on fully wound for £2250 and I think this is easily its equal!
This is a truly a stunning watch - I think you will hard pressed to find one ...in this condition. It was serviced in February by John Senior. The Burens are nice big watches and still so by todays standards.
It comes on a vintage leather one piece strap which has aged nicely and sets it off and also a more contemporary Nato strap thrown in for good measure. The case is in in good condition too with only minor rubbing in places. For a watch that's been in a war it's a beaut!
