Unfortunately with some clocks it is not a matter of unpacking them, putting the pendulum on and away they go, some clocks will need the extra adjustments and setting into beat so please remember this before bidding. Most clocks will be ok and will not need any additional adjustments but please bear in mind this may not be the case. Any clocks returned because of setting up issues or adjustments needed after transit then a fee will be applicable. This is a beautiful antique German Vienna regulator wall clock which has a highly carved case made from walnut. The clock has a German 8 day 2 gong striking movement which is in full working order as a timepiece but the strike train is missing a couple wheels so the strike does not work, the clock has good sized proportions and has a beautiful display look The clock case has a absolutely stunning patina to the walnut with the beautiful architectural design which has a fantastic display look to it
The case has various high quality hand carved decorations over the face including the 2 pillar columns down either side and the amazing 3D face carving to the centre and the caddy bottom pediment, all the decoration is of the highest quality and in excellent condition The case has a hinged front door with a glazed panel for viewing the dial and hand carved decoration below which has a shaped glazed panel to the centre through which you can see the swinging pendulum, the door has its original hook clasps on the side to hold it shut
THE DIAL The clock has a 8 inch diameter 2 part porcelain enamel dial with roman numerals and its original hands, the dial is in excellent condition for age
THE MOVEMENT It has a 8 day German 2 train spring driven gong striking movement which is in full working order as a timepiece keeping good time as you would expect which can be seen in the video above, Unfortunately the strike is not in working order as it is missing a couple wheels, the movement comes with its original gridiron pendulum and a new winding key
The movement comes with a 6 months return to base warranty for extra piece of mind, please see the terms and conditions
MEASUREMENTS The clock measures 43 inches High x 20 inches Wide x 10 inches Deep APPROX DATE Circa 1890 This is a beautiful display piece. 6 Months Return To Base Warranty On Mechanism
All our clocks are tested for a minimum of 1 week before listing onto ebay and working condition is clearly stated above
No matter how well antique clocks have been serviced they will need final adjusting and setting into beat after transport and a professional person is advised and may be required in order to do this so please bear this in mind before bidding
If on the rare occasion you receive a clock that has a problem or does not work after initial set up and adjusting by a professional person then we reserve the right for you to return the mechanism for repair by myself
There will be no refunds if the mechanism needs repair. I reserve the right for the mechanism to be returned to me for repair
I offer a 6 months return to base warranty on all my mechanisms (unless stated not working in description)
In case of a problem after a professional has attempted to set the clock up you can return the mechanism back to me for repair
Please do not take the mechanism to a local clock maker/repairer as this will render the warranty void. All repairs needed to the mechanism will be carried out by myself and not by a 3rd party clock maker/repairer unless agreed by myself beforehand. please contact me in the first instance to arrange return of the mechanism for repair by myself
Shipping the mechanism back to me will be at the buyers cost and i will pay to get the mechanism back to you after repair
All repair costs will be met by myself for 6 months after purchase. If a mechanism is faulty after 6 months then i can offer a repair service for a discounted price but this cost will be met by the buyer if after 6 months of purchase
