Description:Bisque shoulder head doll, head incised 172 7 U made by J.D. Kestner. This is the famous Gibson Girl based on the drawings of Charles Dana Gibson, with long neck, up-tilted chin, patrician nose, multi-stroked eyebrows, sleeping eyes, painted lower lashes, closed mouth with lip shading stroke, plaster pate, original blonde mohair wig, original rivet-jointed kid body with (original??)... celluloid forearms. Dressed with 3 antique Edwardian under garment pieces (Top, Bloomers & Petticoat), modern looking socks and a Cameo necklace.
CONDITION: In as found Antique/Vintage Condition. FOR REPAIR/TLCChest/Shoulder Plate has large break. Right leg has large cut in leather - exposing sawdust fill. Petticoat has a tear/rip in the fabric below the button closure. Pin holes on feet. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS FOR DETAILS.
