This is an vintage container, that originally held 12 ounces of cottage cheese. The dish is made of wax covered cardboard, like a milk carton. The round top is made of TIN. BOTH parts have a different image of the cowgirl, Annie Oakley. The container reads: "See ANNIE OAKLEY On T.V...COTTAGE CHEESE...DISTR. BY COLEMAN DAIRY, INC. LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS." This was made in the 1950's or 1960's, when the TV series, starring Gail Davis,... was popular. The container measures 4 & 1/4 inches wide, at the top. It is 3 inches tall. The metal lid is in EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT condition. The cardboard container is GOOD, with some tan discoloration from age. Really, it about as nice as a 60 year old cottage cheese container CAN be - and WHEN are you going to see another?! It displays great, and is guaranteed to be old & original or your money back.
