Barbie's original ponytail hair-do underwent a style change in 1964. The curly bangs were gone. Some of the hair was brushed from the left side of the forehead across to the right side, then back to the rear. To collectors this style has become known as the Swirl Ponytail. This vintage 1964 blonde straight leg Swirl Ponytail Barbie is in very good condition with tight joints and bright fingernail polish on both hands. As far as the white lips go, there is no substantial proof that Swir...l Ponytail dolls ever had white lips originally so I'm assuming that the lips have faded and if so I don't have a clue as to the original lip color. The doll has earring holes but no earrings and little if any discoloration on her face. Please check the pictures closely.
The doll is wearing the vintage 1963 Garden Party Barbie fashion including a cool summer cotton dress with a ruffled eyelet inset panel in the full skirt and a pink accent bow at the waist with pink flowers and pindots on the bodice and skirt.
