Please email any questions, and HAPPY BIDDING!For your consideration, this TRUE antique/vintage 1920s/30s handmade patchwork FOLK-ART quilt in an old traditional pattern called Grandmothers Flower Garden -- this is ONE OF THOSE QUILTS, soft/comfy, well-loved and extremely well-executed -- this one certainly has the WOW factor! -- highly VISUAL, using BRILLIANT jewel-tones and multi-colors against a creamy background -- all old 100% cotton fabrics including TONS of depression-era FEEDSACKS -- lovely scalloped edges, narrowly binded and backed in solid butter yellow cotton -- VERY light-weight batting which is definitely 100% hand-combed cotton -- the quilt measures 72" x 82", and was totally hand-pieced and hand-quilted in GENEROUS double-rows around each tiny hexagon at 7-8 TEENY stitches per inch -- and these pieces are the TINY postage-stamp size -- TONS of time, talent, and love went into the making of this one -- everything EXQUISITELY-done! -- in VERY EXCELLENT antique condition -- light wear/gentle usage -- strong, sturdy, everything intact except some minor fraying around the edges -- colors CRISP and VIBRANT -- NICE and CLEAN, with maybe some very light surface soil and really saying that for good measure -- no other issues to report -- these old beauties are getting harder and harder to find -- this quilt would be PERFECT for country farmhouse or Victorian decors, laid across your bed, stacked in your quilt cabinet, or CELEBRATED by displaying on the wall as a great piece of TEXTILE ART! -- a true collector's piece....and the price is right!
