Hello and welcome to my auction. Up for bid today is a Vintage Porter-Cable Speedmatic Model #BK-10 Circular Saw. This is a 10" Circular Saw. From the pictures you can see why it is being sold for parts or repair.
The motor runs really strong. I bought this for parts for another saw, but my 12" saw dwarfs this 10", so parts were not interchangable.
I have know idea how the housing got broken, it looks as maybe the blade became loose then bound (looking at the base). There are m...any usable parts on this saw, also included is the lower blade guard.
This would make a great project, if someone has a saw with other issues you probably could make a really great saw with this one. The upper blade guard and gear housing is what is damaged. As stated previously this saw runs strong. The cord has been taped.
These old Porter-Cable/Rockwell saws are collectors items. When all restored and polished out you can really see the quality tools that from years gone by, were once proudly made in the USA.
There is no plastic on this saw and it was made in the USA.
Please note there are scratches and mars in the aluminum, I do not see any cracks or breaks in the housing.
