This is a wonderfully made, wool coat and hat set for a big doll. It came with a Cissy collection from an estate sale in a wealthy neighborhood in Atlanta. It is not mommy made unless mommy was a tailor. The coat has a separate collar that is attached at the neck in the back. The buttons are glass with a skater on the ice. They are very unusual. The hat has velvet trim with a chin strip. The coat and collar and hat are all lined. The lin...ing is tacked to the back of the coat. The only flaw I see is a tiny area on the back of the coat that is mended. It looks like pink thread was used. I would remove that thread and replace it with white. This looks like a Madame Alexander piece because of the workmanshipI cannot document it and it is not tagged so I just don’t know.
