Vintage Angelus Chronograph Black Dial With Silver Hands

Beautiful black dialed Angelus Chronograph with silver hands. This dial is a seriously well preserved example of a mid to late 30’s Chronograph. It is truly a gorgeous dial and would be difficult to find in such great condition.
The watch is 35mm and I believe it carries an early generation Angelus Caliber 215 although it might be a Valjoux. I will include two gently used straps. A black NATO strap and a leather open ended strap as well.
This is o...ne of the first series chronos made by Angelus with its early logo design. There is a great and highly detailed article by Fratello watches in which you can see this logo on page 26 and 27. You can google it “Fratello Watches: Angelus An exceptional Swiss Watch Manufacturer”.
It has fixed lugs most likely for military use. I do not know whether the fixed lugs are original or not as they appear welded which could have been the norm at the time especially if needed for military use. All can be seen in the pictures.
The watch had a basic service about a year ago and has been in storage unworn since. Watch is running but this is from the 30’s and has not been timed/tested in detail. If you hit the chrono sweeping hand to reset it multiple times sometimes it doesn’t fully reset perfectly to 12 o’clock. Service history unknown and a service is always recommended at buyers expense. The case appears unpolished. Dial in amazing condition!
