I am a Nippon/Noritake collector. Most of the items that I am listing are from my very personal collections, since I'm running out of room to display all of my beautiful collections. I had decided to down-size a bit, this round I will be listing very rare & beautiful Vases, Urns, Plaque and even Coralene pieces I just do not have the proper space to display them all. Hopefully it will find a good home. This is the only reason I am selling some... of my personal sets.
Up for auction is a wonderful Old Noritake Nippon 9-Piece Pedestal Tea Set. The decor features hand painted country scene with gorgeous heavy gold overlay over a rich ruby red background. Please see photos for a better description of this rare set.
The set is in an excellent used condition, with no chips cracks, hairlines, or restoration. Minimal loss to the paint and the gold. As you can see from the last photo there a little loss to the gold on one cup handle and the finial of the tea pot. The set consists of:
