•Condition: Very good to excellent condition. Looks hardly used.
•Pattern Attributes: Blue Bird Yellow Flowers Marlborough Shape. The earliest record of this pattern is found as Spode number B.520, dating from about 1838. In 1957, the present colourings of unltramarine blues, rich yellow and subtle green were introduced: these are in the tradition of old Delft of the 17th century Dutch tin-glazed ware. The Marlborough shape is a copy of 18th century European silverware from France and the Netherlands.

Some of the decorations are still printed from hand engraved copper plates, and many are painted by hand. Spode decorations have seldom been equalled and never surpassed for brilliance.
