Nippon Hand Painted Pink Rose Blue Forget Me Nots Maroon & Gold Beaded Vase

Very pretty porcelain squat form vase. Nicely decorated with hand painted dark and light pink roses and blue forget me not flowers farmed by gold gilt ovals with gold beads. With an overall maroon background with gold gilt beading and gold gilt net designs. With ivory bands with gold gilt crosses. Part of the bottom of the vase and the base are ivory with gold gilt floral scrollwork designs. Gold gil...ding to the handles. Unmarked, but probably made during the Nippon era of Japanese porcelain. Circa 1891 to 1921.

Has wear to the gilding, and a small Y shaped crazing line to the base, but otherwise good condition.

Measures approximately 8 inches wide x 7 1/4 inches tall.

This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
