Glidden Pottery large rectangular gray ashtray in the Safex line. Large pottery rectangular ashtray with 2 rectangular wells and rows of raised short ridges. This piece is covered in a soft satin-matte speckled gray glaze. The wells are decorated with rust colored stripes. It measures 12 3/4" long, 6 1/4" wide and is 1 1/2" tall with an unglazed base. This is a Fong Chow design. This piece has an incised mark that reads, "Glidden Safex 6 U S A" plus the ram's head mark. It is the only ...piece I've seen from this line that is marked. Excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
