ANTIQUE GEORGIAN GOLD AMETHYST & SEED PEARL WITCH'S HEART LOCKET PENDANT c1770
A beautiful antique English 9 carat gold (tests thereabouts) witch's heart pendant; finely made, set with tiny seed pearls and faceted amethysts around a tiny heart shaped locket holding a hair memento, hinging open at the back for easy access inside. Hung on a later trace chain. Such a lovely early example in terrific original condition...so collectible & extremely wearable!CONDITION: All original ...and very good. Slight signs of wear to stones commensurate with age and use.DEFECTS: None.DATE/MARKS: Around 1770/80. Not marked.DIMENSIONS: Pendant 24 x 16 mm, chain 20 inches long (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.WEIGHT: Approx. 1.7 grams.Click here to view our other items.
