Note that many of these cards were signed early in the star's career when, unlike in later years, they were flattered to be asked for an autograph and responded with a crisp clean thoughtful signature. Signed 4" x 6" index card. Date of in...-person acquisition noted in pencil on reverse of most cards - Excellent condition.

Acquired in conjunction with well-respected UACC registered dealer Golden Age Autographs and part of one of the largest in-person autograph collections to surface in the last 25 years. All items are fresh to market and this is the first time they have been offered for sale.
The John Verzi Collection - John Verzi was a long-time in-person collector who resided in Los Angeles. Beginning in the 1950s and continuing for more than four decades, he tracked down thousands of notables in all fields of achievement, and requested their autograph, primarily on approximately 24, 000 (yes, thousand) index cards. In many cases he also noted on the back of the card the date he obtained the signature. An amazing collection!
