DESCRIPTION Here is a beautiful 19th C Victorian Mary Gregory hand painted white enamel decorated amber glass plate. Lovely cameo scene of a woman wateri...ng the garden with border of flowers and leaf. The plate has gold gilt border on inner and outer edge.
Mary Gregory (1856?1908) was an American artist known for her decoration of glass products at the Boston and Sandwich Glass Company in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Gregory worked for Boston and Sandwich from 1880 to 1884. Gregory painted landscape scenes during her years at B&SGC.
The plate measures approx 10" in diameter, hard to find amber color and very scarce plate. The rolled rim rises to approx 1" on the edge. Lovely enamel with excellent detail. No chips or cracks. Just some wear to the gold gilt. See pics and email any questions.
