A classic and very collectible Omega Seamaster 300 Gents 42mm Vintage Diver's Watch, Reference 166.024, Automatic Calibre 565 dating all the way back to 1969.It's best feature is the wonderfully-aged Bakelite bezel, rare to find all intact, which has a fantastic Olive colour patina to the numerals, which I have picked out to match with the olive handmade leather perforated strap.This is a great looking watch in excellent working order. It is fresh back from a service at an Omega Appro...ved Service Centre and is supplied with the Omega red zipped service case and 2 Year Service Guarantee to Aug 2023. This is a fantastic example of an Omega Seamaster 300, Gents 42mm Vintage Diver's Watch, Reference 166.024, Automatic Calibre 565 dating all the way back to 1969.
It's best feature is the wonderfully-aged Bakelite bezel, rare to find all intact, which has a fantastic Olive colour patina to the numerals, which I have picked out to match with the olive handmade leather perforated strap.
This is a great looking watch in excellent working order with a rock-solid proven workhorse Calibre 565 Automatic movement.
It has just been collected from an Omega Approved Service Centre, TWR Watch Repairs, where it has had a Full Service and is being supplied with the benefit of a Two Year Service Guarantee to Aug 2023.
It is 51 years old, but this watch still looks fantastic on the wrist today - Please see the photos to appreciate just how nice this watch really is!!
The lume throughout the dial and hands is still luminous and the dial and hands don't show the ageing or patina of the bezel, so they have been replaced at a service at some point - which is quite usual procedure at Omega.
The domed hesalite crystal has the tiny Omega logo at the centre and the case retains all of its original Omega engravings, crisp and clear, including of course the reference number 166.024. The Omega Cal.565 automatic movement has a 28 million serial number, dating it to c1969.
The case measures 42mm width, excl crown and provides a 20mm width between the lugs.
