Item: Vintage Machinist ToolsDescription: For Sale is a Lot of (6) Vintage Machinist Tools by L.S. Starrett of Athol, Mass and The Ideal Tool Co. of Rochester, NY. I believe ALL of these Date Pre-1970. Below are the details I know on each plus any condition issues. Keep in mind that Machinist Tools are not my area of "expertise". Frankly, I don't think I have one! Know a little about a lot of things. That guy! I am sure ...my photos will best further describe this item. 1): Ideal Tool Co. Indicator in Original Box. Although I don't know how this indicator operates, it does seem functional to me. The needle does move when the small knob is touched on top. Does have sporadic surface wear of course. Original Box is in poor condition. 2): L.S. Starrett Calipers. Measures 4 1/2" Tall. One point is curved. Light surface wear and functional. Original Owners initials etched in rear. 3): L.S. Starrett Compass/Caliper????? Frankly I don't know exactly what this tool is called and I'm expecting someone to help me out with the tool name. Measures 3 7/8" Long. When wheel is turned it closes slightly more. VERY light surface wear. Seems to be fully functional. One point is spring loaded and moves in/out. 4-6) L.S. Starrett Pitch Gauges No. 40, No. 178A & 272A. Very Light Surface Wear. No. 40 has "teeth" on each. Owner's initials etched on each. Condition: On a scale of 1 - 10 (Ten being New in Package Only), I can confidentlygrade this Lot's Overall Condition to be a solid 8. Overall and Especially for being 40+ Years Old at least, I feel that these Machinist Tools are in VERY GOOD Working Condition. ALL of them are No Less than 90% Immaculate because I don't sell dirty tools regardless of their condition. These are being sold "as-is" but will accept returns if buyer pays return shipping. If I overlooked something in regards to condition, the last thing I want is for my buyer to be unhappy so we will work something out by all means. My photos are anaccurate depiction of this item's TRUECondition. All Shipmentsautomatically come with Free Tracking. Priority Shipments come with $50 Insurance. The USPS Tracking# willbe entered into the listing immediately after I ship your package. Shipping is based SOLELY on Dimensions of Packed Item& Buyer's Zip Code.
