Vintage 60’s Jaeger LeCoultre Memovox Alarm Watch Cal. 825 Box & Paper
Item History & Price
This particular example features the Cal. 825 automatic movement, offering the added complication of a date window at 3:00 in comparison to the earlier generation 815. It is an automatic wristwatch with a very unique alarm feature. The cal. 825 are the so-called "bumper" winding system and the hammer-based alarm. You can actually feel both moving back and forth while the watch is on your... wrist.
Condition: The condition of the dial is very good and has turn into a very nice and patinated colour. All lume plots present and have aged to a very nice yellowish patinated colour. The condition of the watch case is also very good for its age. Original “JL"-signed crowns on both 2 o’clock & 4 o’clock which you often seen them replaced with newer/after market ones from other examples, also an applied "JL" above the printed "Jaeger-LeCoultre" at 12 o'clock. The watch functions perfectly and the alarm sounds nice and clear.
The first 3 digits of the watch is 834XXX and can clearly visible from the caseback. The watch comes with an “AFTER MARKET” jubilee bracelet, the length of end pieces is slightly shorter than the lugs but it still fits well on the watch. The black leather band shown on the images is NOT included in this auction. The watch comes with the original box, a little red tag with “WRIST - ALARM” on it, also a blank guarantee booklet.
