Vintage Studio Art Pottery Lidded Bowl
Description and Item Information
Up for sale is this vintage studio pottery jar, lidded bowl, or covered dish. Please excuse the glare in the photos. This hand thrown piece has patterned decoration on its exterior. This pot stands approximately 5 3/8 inches tall to the top of the handle; it has a maximum width of about 8 1/2 inches. Unpacked, it weighs 5 pounds 7.6 ounces. This would be a fine addition to a collection o...f studio ceramics.
Identification
This piece has incised markings beneath the bowl and under the lid that look to say, "Doscher." However, the maker of this piece is not known. The exact age of this vintage piece is not known.
Condition
This pot looks very good overall, with no chips or post production cracks. It has light wear. As made, there is a tight, 1/4 inch long firing fissure to the upper rim of the bowl. Variations in glazing are as made. There is some glaze on the foot ring, as made (see Photo 5). Please review the photos, and ask any necessary questions prior to bidding or buying.

1. Payments

Payments must be received within three days of the end of the listing, unless prior arrangements have been made.
2. Shipping
Good packaging is included; double-boxing is not necessarily included. Framed art will not be shipped unframed. The seller usually ships on Mondays and Thursdays. The merchandise will normally be shipped on the seller's next shipping day after payment clears. The seller is not responsible for the transit time once the merchandise has been accepted by the shipping carrier.
Shipping includes delivery to a physical address via a method of the seller's choice. If the buyer prefers a different shipping method other than that chosen by the seller, or if delivery is to a post office box, additional shipping costs may be required. At the seller's discretion, a signature may be required for delivery.
Shipping quotes must be requested prior to all international bidding or buying. For international shipping, there may be parcel size restrictions or prohibitions on certain classes of merchandise. Customs forms will not be falsified.
International buyers, please note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
