Girard Perregaux Traveler II GMT w/ Alarm
This GP Traveler II shows very little signs of use. When it was worn, it was done carefully. Also, the signed strap and deployment clasp was removed before wearing so they are “like new”.It features a high-grade Swiss-made automatic movement with a second time-zone (GMT), alarm function, and quick-set date. The stainless steel case measures 40mm w/o the crown and features two signed crowns. The top crown controls the watch functions and ...the bottom does the alarm. The dial is Ivory color with applied steel markers. The hour and minute hands are also steel and there is a blued steel sweep seconds hand. The blued alarm hand is red-tipped. The hour markers feature luminous blocks above the numerals. The hands are also pierced with luminous and so is the alarm hand. All offer a nice subtle glow at night.When servicing the watch I discovered the movement is something special. Very well made and for me, a watchmaker finding that the automatic function not only winds the time portion of the watch, but it also winds the alarm. There are two mainsprings. One for the time only portion of the movement and the other for the alarm function. With most alarm watches the alarm function has to be manually wound separately. Not with this one, very cool!The watch comes with its original signed deployment clasp and signed tan crocodile strap. Both in outstanding condition. The watch had an original retail price of $7900.BTW, the last two pictures are of the watch movement while being serviced. I wanted to show the quality and complexity. It really is something special.
