Antoine Tavan 1805 Jour / Nuit (Day / Night) Men’s Watch - Black/Silver - New. Condition is New with tags.
After an 8-month wait, I recently received the Antoine Tavan 1805 Jour / Nuit (Day / Night) watch. Unfortunately during the long wait I purchased (too many) other watches. So, as beautiful as this watch is, it is being offered for sale.
It is brand new, only taken out of the box to take the photos on this listing. Stickers are still on the crystal and caseback. Comes with... full kit, box & papers and 5 year manufacturer warranty. This is the black / silver dial version with black calf skin leather strap.
Antoine Tavan 1805 is a brand out of Le Locle, Switzerland started by Roger Zarzoso.Roger has worked for some of the biggest watch brands in the world over the past 35 years and has been focused on his own brand, Antoine Tavan 1805 over the past five years.
The Jour/Nuit or Day/Night watch is his attempt to expand the brand and give more people an opportunity to own an artisan watch.
Here's what you get with the Jour/Nuit aka Day/Night Watch:
-40mm case ; 12mm thickness ; 20mm lug width
- It is entirely designed and hand assembled in the Antoine Tavan workshop in Le Locle.
- It utilizes an ETA 2824-2 automatic movement modified by Roger to display a 24 hours indication.
- The dial has been crafted from copper, with traditional enamel techniques.
- The dial contains two half circles that are engraved in relief each representing a unique half of the 24 hours day. The upper-scale indicates the daylight hours (from 6 AM/6hr to 6:00 PM/18h) and the other, lower scale indicates the evening hours (from 6:00 PM/18hr to 6:00 AM/6hr).
- The hour hand features a sun on one end and a moon on the other to indicate which half-circle arch is the correct time.
- The 3 steel hands are laser cut and polished by hand.
