This is a fantastic looking and very rare looking all-original (except the strap) vintage ROLEX stainless steel & 14K yellow gold MEN's DATEJUST watch with gorgeous silver dial with "Fat Boy" markers. It is easily in OUTSTANDING condition throughout and the bracelet has been replaced with a new tan distressed leather strap. It is a reference number 1601 and 360xxxx serial number which dates it to 1971 per the Rolex guides and the caseback (marked ii 71 for 2nd quarter 1971). It fe...atures an automatic Rolex movement and is running great.
This did not come with original box or paperwork, but is 100% guaranteed authentic and accurate as written. It is being offered to you with No Reserve!
Movement: Rolex 26 jewel, automatic movement, with date Calibre 1570. This is a "non-quickset", which means the date cannot be changed independently without the hour hand passing midnight. Running great and winds very smoothly with the date flipping over right at midnight.
From our limited observation it appears to be keeping good time, but has not been timed professionally. So we cannot guarantee it is keeping time in accordance with Rolex factory specifications. Bracelet: Brand new, full-sized tan "distressed" leather strap with stainless steel buckle. Looks tremendous and really accentuates the vintage look.
Case: Stainless steel 36mm wide case (not including lugs or crown) with: 14K yellow gold "fluted" bezel; 14K yellow gold signed Rolex crown and solid caseback.
Crystal: Rolex scratch resistant plastic crystal.
Dial: Beautiful original Rolex Silver dial with: factory Rolex "Fat Boy"markers; yellow gold hands (hour, minute and seconds); with date at h3. Looks AMAZING!!
This is a great looking watch this is a timeless beauty and would look great on anyone's wrist. For one of this age, this is one of the coolest looking ones you will find. It is clean and looks tremendous on the wrist!
