WW1 Rolex Officers Trench watch, 1916,
Includes 2 x 13 Ligne Donor movements (non working) for parts/spares.
The watch is being sold as a project as it is not currently working. The following issues are why it is classed as not working...
1. The mainspring does not always connect with the barrel arbor hook, The mainspring is not snapped, it needs to be rewound.
2. It runs well face down, but not face up, it could be that it needs a service and oil, the balance ...swings freely.
I have been quoted £150 for a service and repairs to get the watch running, it is a watch that would sell for over £2000, and the donor movements sell for around £300 each for the 13 Ligne size. A low starting price for an unusual WW1 Rolex listing that includes donor movements.
I am selling off my watch collection due to poor health.
