This is a vintage wristwatch dating to 1959. This is handsome, clean, and in very good condition. This is a totally original, authentic US Air Force issued vintage military watch. Every part is original with exception to the spring bars. The case has not been polished and it retains the original parkerized surface and patina. It has been thoroughly checked and cleaned by a professional watchmaker. It is ready to wear. The Bulova A-17A was a Cold War Era watch w...orn by pilots and aircrew from the late 1950s through the early years of the Vietnam War. Gary Powers could have been wearing one like this when he was shot down over the USSR in the U-2 spy plane. The watch runs well and keeps time. The time sets as it should. The watch is hack set and pulling the crown to the outer position properly stops the watch. The case is all stainless steel and it is about 32mm wide not including the original crown. It is about 39mm long to the tips of the lugs. The movement is a high quality USA made Bulova 10BNCH and it has 17 jewels. The band is a new old stock genuine vintage US GI nylon Nato strap. The total length of the watch is about 10 inches. This uses a 16 mm band which could easily be replaced if you prefer a different style or length. The original acrylic crystal is clean and clear and has no scratches. The dial is very nice, original, and is depicted accurately in the pictures. Please note that all pictures are taken on the macro setting. This makes even the slightest imperfections and specks of dust appear much more prominent though they are often not visible without magnification. I LOVE TO COMBINE SHIPPING TO SAVE YOU MONEY!
