For sale is a vintage Tag Heuer 220.206 titanium quartz chronograph. This rare reference uses a Heuer caliber 185 with a mechanical Dubois Depraz chronograph module on top which makes it an interesting combination of mechanical and quartz.
The movement was just professionally serviced as well as the chronograph module and the battery was changed. I wore it for a week and checked the timing against a digital clock and it was within a second so it’s running well. The chronogra...ph works perfectly and the watch records time in half second intervals.Comes on the original bracelet which is sized for a 7.5” wrist on the maximum setting with two removable links on each side. The bracelet is missing several of the gold inserts but is in good shape otherwise and the clasp snaps tightly.
Crystal is original and in excellent shape with one tiny mark above 11:00 that's not noticeable unless you are looking for it . Case is in good condition especially for its age and was cleaned during the service. With vintage watches with these kind of pushers this should not be submerged in water although the case is sealed. There is no guarantee of water resistance.
Dial and hands are in great shape and the lume still barely glows after being charged. The texture of this dial is really unique and works great with the titanium and gold accents.
The bezel is missing some of the paint which is common for these as most have none left. Overall it’s a good original example of this reference which is in great running condition. I have owned several and they haven’t run as they all need service at this point which has been done and was not cheap. It’s ready to be worn and enjoyed for the next owner!
